Training

C.S.C.S. Scheme: As a company we have been involved with the C.S.C.S. since 1999, and have put over 500 employees through N.V.Q., or other appropriate courses to obtain C.S.C.S. cards. One of our initiatives this year was to have the Health and Safety touch screen test mobile unit visit one of our projects to provide an onsite method of processing candidates.

As new categories of occupation become available, we are obtaining cards for the appropriate employees. We are now, not only dealing with new card holders, but have an increasing number of employees, who have to have their cards renewed, as they have expired after the five year validation period.

John Doyle Construction have recognised from its inception the importance of this scheme. As a company that carries out a considerable amount of its work for members of the Major Contractors Group, we are in line with their commitment; to achieve a workforce fully competent within its trade. The C.S.C.S. card initiative being entirely consistent with this aim means that all personnel working in the construction industry who visit site will have to carry a valid C.S.C.S. card.

Quality Assurance

In order to develop and maintain our quest for excellence, our Quality Assurance procedures were first registered to IS0 9002 in 1996. These have subsequently been updated to IS0 9001:2000 standard.

A quality plan is produced and developed as work proceeds on every contract we undertake. This is presented to the client at the commencement of operations and is included in the overall Safety File on completion of the works.
